Is Calculus really needed before college?

<p>Next Year I have signed up for:
AP Bio
AP Spanish Lang
AP Stats
British Literature 12 Honors</p>

<p>I have one more space: I am torn between calculus and intro to sociology and psychology.</p>

<p>i really would like to take soc. and psych, its a really interesting class, and i am already taking stats
but i just want to know if colleges would prefer me taking calculus as well next year. </p>

<p>It depends on what major you'd like to enter. For some, like Cornell Engineering, even APPLYING requires the enrollment in or completion of Calculus. Not Pre-Calc.</p>

<p>Just look at the requirements for your major at the colleges you're interested in.</p>
