got my acceptance letter this afternoon and have been looking at student reviews for Case.
many people on studentreview.com says they regretted going to case and are considering transferring out. many also mentioned that faculties are not very responsible and students have no life. i mean im not a party person but not like a nerd either. i want to go to somewhere i can actually learn something and get better preparation for grad school/med school. i am scared by some super negative posts about case :( does anybody suggest Case for my case?

Lets put it this way, would you be inclined to comment on student review if everything was going well? Probably not. Hence why there are “so many” negative posts
Im sure theyre would be many more happy posts if people posted

That is the most depressing website, try a few others before you make up your mind.

I have actually decided to go to case and just trying to know more about the school:)

school is what you make of it. If you want to pursue a nerdish life then you will not try to make relationships with other people. If you want a party life you will go out every night. IF you want a balance of both then you can as well. Just remember your college experience is based on your decisions not on previous student experiences. Hope this helps!!!

If you look at the common data set you will see that 92% of freshman who enrolled in 2011 returned in 2012. That should tell you all you need to know. The vast majority of people who chose CWRU came back for a second year.

My son is nerdy in some ways but likes to be social as well. He has been happy in Cleveland except for the cold weather. He likes to go out but isn’t a giant party animal. If you want the party lifestyle you should probably attend somewhere else.

Don’t trust a site like studentreview- its mostly students venting after struggling and transferring to a state school. See Case for yourself-- thats the best way to get a feel for it! I didn’t get to see Case until after I had alwready accepted my Senior year, which was risky but it was where I wanted to go so I did it! I fell in love with the school and the people and never looked back! The academics are challenging but the extracurriculars are incredible-- I have become a real leader in my community and am well respected on the campus because of it, and I think that I have grown into my own at Case because it is a small, student centered school. I am outgoing, but don’t really party, and work very hard, so it is very much a school like me. If you are looking to go out every weekend then Case will really become sink-or-swim for you.

I agree with jkrtist. Also i feel like a lot of students that post on the website picked case for all the wrong reasons

@lhgsec, please don’t discount Case because of what a few bad apples wrote. The VAST majority of us absolutely adore the school.

Remember, there are the students who go to “Hellnegie Mellon” (Carnegie Mellon). They don’t like it there either, though they might not trash the school on the internet!
