Im interested in majoring in this field, but Im also looking at Biomedical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Which one is best for me if I am interested in Chemistry, math, and biology. I like all these subjects. Im taking AP Calc BC and AP chemistry at school right now. Im enjoying both of these classes. I just want your opinion on which you think is a better major? I heard CE is the hardest because the teachers at Tech for that major are tough on students.

I’m pretty sure aerospace is the hardest.

I’m pretty sure all of the Engineering paths are extremely difficult.

(Though I am partial towards Aerospace… I wanted to do Aerospace, and Engineering in general until I realized that I HATE physics. I’m more of a mathematics type.)

The general opinion on campus that I’ve seen is that chemical is considered the most difficult for undergraduates. But really, it’s just a matter of personal opinion. If you hate chemistry, chemical engineering will be much more difficult than aerospace. If chemistry comes easy to you, you have have the opposite opinion.

You might want to look a Biochemical (ChBE with a biochemical concentration).

I actually hear the opposite about Civil.

I absolutely agree with GP’s comment that it depends on your ‘likings/talents’.

One way to find an answer to your question is to start “at the end” …

What job do you dream of? What do you want to achieve? If that is clear, then you should get some hints (at least! if ont the answer), in which direction you’d like to go …

CE = civil engineering
CHBE = chemical (& biomolecular) engineering
