I know the answer to the above question is probably a no, but could a CMC student please shed some light on this area? The last thing I want after going to a homophobic high school would be to not feel accepted in college, and my campus tour didn't help with answering this question.

When I stayed overnight, my host was talking to me about how one of her gay friends (also a student at CMC) met a guy a few days before. She was perfectly comfortable talking to me (a person she had never met before that day) about it.

So I would believe that CMC is not homophobic because she spoke so freely about it I think you would be totally able to find people to hang out with. The vibe I get from CMC is very laid back and chill.

Before I thought CMC was more business-y and professional because of its reputation as a “more conservative” and pre-professional type of school. But I think it gets the “conservative” label because its student body is just a tad more conservative than the other Claremonts (which I think is still pretty liberal).

Yeh, I know a girl at cmc who knows a gay guy and she was very enthusiastic about meeting his partner when he walked by once.

Dude, it’s southern California, 45 minutes from LA. Not what you call the Bible belt. Relax.
