Hello,

The official practice papers I got from the collegeboard book is so much easier than the test I took back in May. I got 700 on the real one but easily get 800 on the 2010 ones from their book.

Are they making it harder as more and more people get 800??

They should be, it’s too easy. Or it could just be test pressure.

Considering how outrageous the percentiles are, they should.

I am pretty sure that I heard that the practice tests are easier than the real ones.

Each test’s scores is curved based on everyone’s scores. CollegeBoard wants to have a Bell curve distribution for each test. On the tests with more high scores, there are fewer opportunities to make mistakes, and vice versa.

honestly idk, but im a pretty good math students. i wouldnt say im great, but i got in the 720 range’s in the Barrons book, and people said that anything above 680 in Barrons should compare to a perfect score on the real test, so i was pretty confident. however i got a 780 on the real test. i understand its a good score, but like the people above said the percentiles are outrageous so now they know that im not even in the top 12 percent cause i didnt get a 800.

anyway, i feel that the real sat has a time crunch although the problems may be easier. that might have been your issue. it was definitely my issue.
