I was looking up some stats on collegedata and when i compared the stats i saw on collegedata to the ones on this forum, the ones on collegedata seemed more... lets say "normal" and not overly perfect. Should i believe this to be reliable data so i can compare my stats to normal people?

No, in my opinion collegedata is not very reliable. You can enter in extraordinarily low grades and scores for Ivy Leagues and still get a "maybe" response. It's pretty much pandering to students' fears and anxieties and giving them a bland, vague, unsubstantial answer. I've found CC to be far more specific and helpful.

im not talking about the chance meter thing but like the actual data with student input. is that reliable?

Probably not. Most of the data I've seen kids put in on collegedata seem very unlikely.

It's weird, the 25th-75th percentile ranges normally match up with collegeboard, but there's some weird stuff. For example, it put Johns Hopkins as a "likely" (or whatever) and some lower schools as "maybe."

I think collegeboard is probably our best bet. People on CC tend to deal with that top 25%, and collegedata is, like others said, a little weird. If you want to compare your scores to "normal people", use collegeboard, where they show you what scores the middle 50% achieved.
