<p>I successfully submitted the Common App portion at around 8:30 pm, and have been trying to submit the writing supplement. Won’t let me because apparently I didn’t complete the requirements for the submit button to show up

<p>Beyond any comments regarding procrastination; if the Common App decides on a deadline, you should be able to submit up to one second before said deadline.</p>
<p>Well yeah, I’m just making a point. For the poster who is going to call the school, they probably wont take you seriously in the first place if you waited quite literally until the last second to apply. But by all means call and ask, you have nothing else to lose.</p>
<p>I’ve been trying to submit for 3 hours @LesPaulFireburst, I do realize that it’s late but it while I was still copying and pasting my essays it disconnected me, followed by not being able to log in at all, and then the writing section of common app unable to be completed, and now the common app unable to submit. Pretty unfortunate but I agree with @Plongetz</p>

<p>On Twitter everyone’s going crazy. I really hope there’s an extension of some sort…Did something like this happen on the ED deadline?</p>
<p>Common App also said that none of their member schools are willing to extend the deadline. It makes me mad that some schools have no alternate means of applying than Common App and in times of crisis they offer nothing else. Whether or not someone procrastinates, they should not be punished because of something that is out of their control.</p>
<p>Believe me when I say I will be calling the university tomorrow and letting them know what’s happened tonight.</p>
<p>Also, the favoritism in this situation is really getting to me. It bugs me that these universities immediately offered extensions for those students who were applying ED/EA back in October, but now the RD’s are getting ignored. Just because a student does not definitely know if they want to go to that school does not mean that they are any better than those who know for sure. Yes, I know that schools think oppositely, but one would think that the school would still want as many candidates applying for admission as possible.</p>
<p>yeah if I remember correctly it did. I would just send it in asap and email the rep explaining that you tried for hours perfecting your application til the last minute and itd be horrible of none if that effort was considered bc of the commonapp mishap.</p>
