At my school, computr science is under engineer..... But it's a science class isn't it? So if I major in computer science, am I technically majoring in engineering?

Sort of. Why does it matter?

Computer science is also under the college of engineering at my school. It was also a part of the college of letters and science at my school. It really depends on what you define to be engineering.

For CS, it really doesn’t matter (in the industry), if it falls under the college of liberal arts and sciences (CLAS or something like that) or engineering. Almost all CS jobs are open to CS grads from either “school”.

If it falls under CLAS you will have to complete the standard CLAS requirements for graduation in addition to the CS curriculum. In engineering you will need to complete the standard engineering requirements for graduation, in addition to the CS curriculum.

Depends on the school. CS is most commonly a science degree. Some schools administer it in the school of engineering, but its usually a BS not a BSE unless its called computer engineering. Generally, it shouldn’t make much of a difference.
