Is computer science an impacted major?

I've been hearing that computer science isn't an impacted major anymore. Is this true? I got accepted to UCSD as a transfer student for Econ but I've been leaning towards CS lately. I have no problem with Econ, I applied to all the UC's as an Econ major.

I was just wondering if there is even a slight possibility to switch into CS if I do decide that it is the path I'd want to pursue? After all, it is part of the engineering school and I realize how tough it would be. Thanks.

Nope, it's not impacted anymore. I know this for sure. And switching into a non-impacted major is super easy.

No.

Well that's good to hear. The problem is that I've just recently considered going for Computer Science. I have all my GE's and IGETC done but I won't finish most of the prereq's for CS in time.

Will they let me switch into CS right off the bat or will I have to go there, finish all the prereq's, and then switch into CS?
