Is CS in L&S Capped?

Is CS in L&S Capped? As of right now...

If it is not, does that mean there is no minimum GPA req?

No, as of last year, L&S CS is not capped anymore...sweet eh? That is good news for people like me who don't have any backup plans.

According to this article, many college students are looking into CS again. CS might get capped again sometime in the near future if the article rings true.

It's not capped and probably won't be for at least 2-3 years. In order for it to be capped again first a lot more students will have to declare for the major. That doesn't happen overnight. Then it will take a while for the department to seriously consider capping it again. Then they'll actually vote/decide on it. Then it takes a while to get it through the system. I'm not too worried although they did say capping it again in the future is a possibility.

Thanks for the replies. That's good to hear. How long before they cap it do they announce that they will cap it? In other words, if they decide to cap it, how soon do they mandate the cap? next semester, next school year?
