Is csuf a school worth attending

I am looking to maybe attend csuf and major in communications with an emphasis on entertainment management. I was wondering if anyone has heard if the school is good; college life, academics, job placement, location, fun atmosphere, etc. I hear that it is a mostly commuter campus and they only house about a thousand kids in the dorms. Has anyone heard anything about the school?

CSUF = Cal State University Fresno or Fullerton?

its cal state fullerton

I haven't heard anything particularly good or bad about it...

Most of the CSUs, with the exception of SDSU, Cal State Chico, Fresno State, or SFSU are commuter schools. Most of the students work part-time, and subsequently campus life is not really existent. It does have a nationally competitive baseball team.

If you're looking for a true college experience, SDSU would be the best option out of the Cal States.

I applied to sdsu and am hoping that i have a good enough gpa to get in. My sat scores were not too good, i got a 980 combined score on the critical reading and math sections. This doesnt include the writing because all of the cal states dont use the writing sections. My gpa is 3.59 so i am hoping that it what i got is good enough to get into sdsu. The waiting game is hard, i look each day to see if i have been accepted, still pending. Others have already heard if they have been accepted to sdsu already.

^ Bah, don't get your hopes down.

If you don't get into your dream school, California has a great backdoor entry...go to a good quality community college for 2 years, work your butt off, get high grades and then transfer in 2 years to SDSU, UC or USC...And save money in the meantime.

Good luck!

My sister and her husband graduated from CSUFullerton. Both attended as commuters, but they did meet on campus, so there must be some mingling with other students. They thought the academics fit them well (they were both PE majors). But neither has an alumni affinity with the school.
