Is Deerfield ignored?

As I did some math with the numbers i got from boardingschoolreview.com, I saw that an extremely high percentatge of students get accepted into Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. How come it's basically ignored in this forum? Is Deerfield Academy better than we think it is?

If I apply to boarding school next year, Deerfield would be one of my top choices, if not my number one. I feel like it's ignored on this forum as well, but I think that's due to the fact that not many students from Deerfield are members of CC, or they just don't come to the Prep School Admissions Forum.

If you do a search of "Deerfield" on this forum, you will find that it is not ignored.

Ummmm, as the hardest boarding school to get into now, I hardly think so!! I used to feel sorry for Jonathan as so many people jumped on him, but now I understand! Now Deerfield is his favorite???!!! Jonathan, schools will see through you, which honestly is not a dig, it'w just that you're not genuine, you don't know anything about these schools, you have not visited and it shows!!!

are u kidding me?? this is the dumbest comment ever...deerfield ignored???

and i m not pro-deerfield or anythign
i m speaking as someone from hotchkiss

i second that....deerfield is awesome...so is hotchkiss..XD ...

p.s TIMMAH i m stalking u XP

Suze, I don't keep this forum updated on every single thing that happens in my life. I'm not applying to boarding school for the 2007 school year because I've decided to apply to a local prep school. I was just saying that Deerfield seems like a wonderful school and if I were to apply to boarding school, Deerfield would be one of my top choices.

suze, I'm sorry, but I think that your post was unduely harsh to Jonathan. Yes, watching him on the forum, I do find that he is quick to post sometimes out of eagerness and first reaction, and makes errors in what he says, but he does, in time, usually correct himself and apologize.
Also, he had been talking about Deerfield Academy before, when he was still applying to prep schools for ninth grade. I think it is unfair to assume that the only reason he said he was applying was on the belief that it was "the best" and that he actually has zero passion for the school. I think that he was more enthusiastic about it than he was, because he heard about it's high Ivy "exmissions", but I don't think that it's right to tell him that "you're not genuine", unless you know him as a person and have really talked to him. I don't know if he is "genuine"; I just don't think anyone who hasn't met him can say.
I don't find that Deerfield isn't mentioned; I do think it doesn't get as much attention as Andover or Exeter, however. I'm applying to Deerfield. It isn't my first choice (mostly because it is farther from Boston, where my grandmother lives, than a few others), but I would be very happy to attend there from what I know now. Of course, I have not visited, but I have talked to many people who attended Deerfield and thoroughly researched it to the extent that I can being 3,000 miles away.
