<p>Georgia Tech is very good. It’s known in the entire country as a top engineering school. Purdue is not as good, but still quite good, and well known especially throughout the Midwest (which is about 1,000 km wide) If he got into these schools, he’s going to get a great education.
If he’s applying to these schools next year for Fall 2015, he should definitely look into UAlabama’s College of Engineering. It’s definitely less highly ranked than Georgia Tech, but its graduates don’t have any trouble finding jobs throughout the South.</p>
