I'm applying Early Action to Emerson and I'm probably going to be one of those students on the fringe of acceptance. My ACT score is on the upper end of the spectrum (30), but my grades are on the low end of the spectrum (3.2), and I think my essays turned out pretty well. So it's pretty much a gamble whether I'll get accepted or not, I'm not sure. Isn't EA more competitive, so aren't I hurting my chances by applying EA in the first place? Or am I wrong in thinking that? Should EA be exclusively for students who KNOW they're going to get in and just want to get in early? I'm a student who isn't sure he isn't going to get in but wants to get into college early. I REALLY want to go to Emerson, and I'm almost finished with all of my applications and essays, but the bottom line is: do I want to apply early?

edit: I just went on collegeboard and saw that the percent of applicants admitted early is 52%, 5% higher than normal...so this is a good sign, yes?
