Is Early admission going to be exceptionally tough this year? My chances?

Don't know my class ranking

Out of all these Ivies, Can you tell me where I have better chances than others, specially for Early?

Best chances: Cornell, Penn (but not Wharton), maybe Brown
Worst chances: all the others, but especially Harvard, Yale, and Princeton

Thanx Calcruzer. What do you think I am missing from my profile?

Can anyone else comment please?

BUMP!!!
Can anyone else reply please? I am looking for more validations

ivies are not everything. schools like duke and jhu (premed) are better than some ivies in some programs

I was under the impression some of the ivies got rid of early action?

if you’re applying early, i believe yale is the only one that takes early action. the rest are either early decision (you could only apply to 1) or regular decision (not early…)

You have a decent shot at Dartmouth, Brown, and possibly Cornell.

Columbia is always tough, and Yale, Harvard, and Princeton are reaches for you.

Harvard does not offer early. Yale offers restricted early, and Princeton and Columbia have early decision. I do not know about the other three.

Princeton followed Harvard’s lead and abandoned early application.

Thanks to all of you who encouraged me.
I have co-authored a research paper with my professors, soon to be published. If that adds any value to the process?

Yes, Yale and Stanford have restricted Early action. I was wondering if I have any chnaces for any of them. I have visited both. stanford I visited 3 yrs back when I vsiisted my aunt in CA. they both look magnifient to me. they are like picture postcards!!

I’m also considering JHU Umich Uwash and Rutgers.

You’re biggest weakness is the SAT. You need to upgrade your academic profile to be truly competitive at the Ivies.

Look beyond the Ivies. Look at ‘new Ivies’. Check out LAC’s. Visit a few schools from each of the three categories I mentioned above.

THEN draw up a list.
