A hypothetical question here... I would like to know your opinion please.

I know that ED is binding and you are morally committed to attend if admitted. However, what is the extend of the commitment? Is it limited to colleges in the States only? What if I change my mind and decide to study abroad in Europe or even in Canada?

I am not sure about the technical implications Goblue81, but "morally", there is only one way to intepret the getting out of the ED commitment, and it ain't rosy!

I second Alexandre's comment ... I have no idea what agreement and recipical processes US schools have with overseas schools so you may be able to "get away" with applying ED in the US and attending a school overseas ... however an ED application has a very clear intent (I will go if accepted) and the ethically right thing to do is also clear ... IMO.
