<p>I want to be an electrical engineer in the future and I just got accepted into Iowa State university for electrical engineering. But I heard that electrical engineering outlook is starting to become bleak. Is that true? plz help I am really anxious.</p>
<p>It’s not just EE alone but every career pretty much is dying slowly due to bad economy,outsources and the baby boomers.</p>
<p>Well at least in aerospace on the east coast, you’re more likely to get hired as an EE than an Aero major. So there’s that.</p>
<p>While EE is in rougher shape than it was previously, this is true of most fields and engineering is still stronger than most. I would not panic, but I would make sure that you stayed focused in college and took it seriously as job training and not as some kind of escape from adulthood.</p>
