Sevmom and saillakeerie - yes, that’s exactly it. My H’s bigger concern is throwing his loyal employees out of work when he retires since it will be difficult to find a buyer. The value of a private practice these days is really in the equity of the doctor (who, of course, is leaving), not in the building or equipment (which is often leased anyway).
