Is engineering a social life killer?

^ cough, cough, eyeheartphysics, my friends and I certainly found time to party in college! Probably too much…

hadsed, that is what I claimed and don’t understand your conspiracy reference.

I’m currently in my first year for ME and I’m busy reading/making some chapters from Statics.

It’s 3 AM. :P

Currently I can’t do all that much because I was in Architecture the first 2 weeks, so I missed out on a lot. So I have a lot of catching up to do. But I do think that I’ll have enough time to do ‘fun’ stuff if I manage my time properly and just try to keep up with the classes. I’ll just have to see how it goes next semester.

Being an engineer, I disagree 100%. Being an engineer does not, in any way, set my “way of life.” I play many sports, go out a good amount, don’t play many video games, spend no statistically significant amount of time outside of work on engineering… and I’m not the only one like this.

^I agree!

10 char

FWIW, I am a PhD engineering student and I am drunk right now and got this way with 7+ other engineers.

Carry on.

Major in what you love. You’ll regret it if you don’t.
Work hard, play hard.
