Hi all,

Im starting this thread to ask your opinion on the engineering business minor. Id like to know how much it actually helps graduates when they enter the real world, as far as interviews and getting jobs. Pursuing it definitely add a load to your schedule, so i was wondering whether or not it's worth it.

Opinions from all is welcome, but hearing from actual engineering graduate would be great.
Did you actually find that it's helpful in the long run?

thanks!

Any knowledge is always helpful. It may not help you directly get a job but it may help you succeed in one. Think of how much more valuable one of a companies engineers would be if they had alittle business sense when putting their annual budgets together or making other cost related decisions.

I’m not a graduate, but speaking as a current SEAS student, interviewing companies are definitely happy to hear that I’m an engineering business minor.

i’d also be interested to see some responses to this question?

I’m in it right now, and I need to take 4 more classes. For me (as a second year student) the main challenge is trying to fit in all the classes without timing conflicts, but if you don’t have that problem I think it is good to stay in it.
