Is epically failing the Physics Subject Test going to ruin my chances?

So my AP Physics teacher was absolutely terrible last year, and I ended up having to teach myself everything - so I didn't do too well on the exam. Now in order to even apply to some of the colleges I'm interested in I have to take the chem or physics subject test, and since I haven't taken chem since 10th grade (my school doesn't offer AP Chem) I'll probably end up taking physics. I know that I will do terrible on it because it's been quite a few months since I've looked at anything physics related. Would not doing well on this test completely ruin my chances of getting into a good engineering school?

Doing well in a science SAT subject test is important for many engineering schools. There are tests in December. If you get a review book, you can try a sample test in Physics and one in Chemistry and decide which seems like your best bet.

for a good engineering school, you need a strong Math 2 score and a strong physical science score (chem or physics). No way around it.

good thing i got an 800 on both
