Technically, the ER admission process is still a rolling process by principle right? I've combed the ER section of Michigan's website but nowhere does it say whether the ER is considered rolling as well or something entirely different. Since the website repeatedly mentions "added ER to the rolling process" I'm getting the feeling that the ER is in fact not a rolling process. Can anyone clarify?

Thanks

ok, maybe that’s a bit hard to answer. What I’m really wondering about is, it is ok to apply to both Yale’s SCEA and Michigan’s ER right? I remember reading in multiple places that this was ok, but I looked at Michigan’s website today and it seems that nowhere does it state that the ER is in essence a rolling process. So, is it ok?

Thanks

From what I understand, Yale’s SCEA is almost like ED, so you can’t apply to other schools when you have that app pending.

FreeFocus,
Thanks for your reply, but Yale’s SCEA is actually quite different from ED. The Yale website clearly state:
“You may apply to a public university’s “rolling” admission program if the program is non-binding.”

I know that regular admission for Michigan is rolling, so I am just concerned that ER may not technically be rolling.

My apologies then, I’m not applying to Yale so I suppose I was kind of confused. They were just excluding ED and other SCEAs.

But yes, UMich is rolling. It’s fine.

Thanks again~ just to make sure, the ER part is rolling as well?

Well, no one really knows how U of M handles ER, you’re just guaranteed a decision before the 24th of December. But it is non-binding, so I don’t see why applying would be a problem. Though you already missed U of M’s ER program if you haven’t applied yet.

Thanks for all your help guys, I’ve already applied, but they seem to have lost a piece of material, so I guess I didn’t make the ER deadline anyway. Thanks again
