One of the writing fixing questions depended on this....I put no error though.

No, expert was incorrect. It's not an adverb.

God Damnit

you mean 'an' adverb. haha. sorry but correcting a grammatical mistake seemed fitting for this thread.

Umm..I do not think so but there could be some context I haven't considered. I know it can be a noun and an adjective, but wouldnt it be "expertly" if it served as an adverb?

I think the sentence read "Her dive was so expert that she blah blah blah"

Err, wait, that isn't an adverb is it?

Her dive was so expert

expert is an adjective in that sentence. "so" is the adverb

expertly was needed

Adverbs describe "how" and usually end in "ly" unless they are irregular, and modify a verb. In this case, the adverb would have to be "expertly".
For example, "She dove expertly".

I think it was "so expert" because I believe the sentence was "Her dive was so expert that her chances of making the olympic team grew"

something along those lines...can anyone confirm *** im talking about?

there was another sentence that used "advantage" as a verb....very odd.

"the students advataged that they live in a city" or something liek that...hmmm

anyone remember that?

i put the last one....
Living in a urban/large city, art students have the advantage because....or something similiar

Dang! For the art student one, I originally put the last one, but changed it to no error/A at the last minute. I think... Gah!!!

You can use advantage as a verb.

For example, the system advantages the rich...Therefore, I put the first one. I was debating between the first and the last one, but the last one had a problem with adding an additional "that" in the middle of the sentence that made it sound really weird. This is what I think at least.

I think A was most concise. I, too, was debating between A and E but thought E was a little wordy.

guys i didn't take this SAT but in the sentence "so" serves as the adverb describing "expert", which is a predicate adjective describing "dive". so i think it should be no error unless there was another error in the sentence

think of it this way:

"Her dive was an expert one."

"expert" in ^^^this sentence is an adjective, right? similarly, my argument holds true.
