Is extra essay okay?

Gosh, I spent all summer at a science research center, but never got to mention in anywhere on my applications.
I know that my science teacher will mention it in her letter of rec, but she won't be able to exactly relate what an impact the experience had on me (basically, it changed my goal in life!)
I know I should've written about it in my "meaningful activity" essay, but I wanted to write about my passion for music sooo much.
Argh, can I send in an extra essay outside of the Optional essay for the Common App?
:(
~Sad and Confused

C'mon, any input at all would be fine!

The school doesn't require an extra essay?

Most schools allow you to submit a research paper as supplementary work.

where are u applying to?

Some of the ivies that use the Common Application.
I've already written my Optional Supplementary Essay (allowed by the supplement) on my childhood, so there is no other way to express my summer experience, since I do not have a research paper.
Hmm, maybe I should just risk it and send two supplementary essays?

I wouldn't. The point is that everyone has a lot to say and one of the tests is how well you can tell your story within set limits.

All right then. Your point is well taken.
In the Harvard Supplement, there is a section titled "Additional Information."
Under this section, could I briefly describe what I do as District Lieutenant Governor of Key Club (it does sound kind of confusing), and my experience at the summer cancer research center?

Bumpage!! Bumpage!!!

Argh Argh!!!
Will Juggle For Input.

just go with ur instinct.
