Is from now till April 4 enough prep time?

My Second S is thinking of taking ACT(instead of or with the SAT), and having just had the thought he would only have about one month and use the online prep information. Just wondering if a. that's enough time to prepare? and B. if anyone has used the online prep and how did they find it.

Also am I correct that most schools that ask for sat IIs don't require them if you take the ACT?

Thanks

Its ALOT of prep time if you use it wisely. Most people, myself included, don't spend their whole day prepping so it seems like we don't have enough time. If i were you, I would do a section daily and go over your mistakes and see why you missed it. If you still don't understand, go ask a teacher, after all, that's one of the best resources you can use :D. Anyways, good luck, I am taking the April one too. :)

I suggest taking the SAT IIs. It can't hurt since he is planning to report the ACT, especially if your son is applying to schools that do not require SAT subject tests. Taking them in his strong subjects may give him scores that would help make his application stand out. He should pick up a prep book with practice tests and see which subjects he feels comfortable with. The official subject test prep book helped me prepare for the SAT IIs - The Official Study Guide for all SAT Subject Tests

I took the ACT only once in the 10th grade. I preferred the format of the SAT. When I did take the ACT I used this book(with official practice tests included) - ACT Test Prep : The Real ACT Prep Guide

Good luck to your son!
