I got accepted as an econ major for UCB and I'm wondering if it's any different if I were undecided and applying to Haas after sophomore year

You were not accepted as an econ major; you were accepted as undeclared. L&S does not give a **** what major you put down, they just asked you for statistical purposes.

well what are impacted majors?? just engineering?

Engineering is not a major, it is a college; however, getting into CoE is harder than getting into L&S.

There only a handful of capped majors

Economics

Media Studies (formerly Mass Communications)

Psychology

Public Health

Social Welfare

Operations Research & Management Science (ORMS)

You generally don’t declare until your junior year, sometimes spring your sophomore year
