Is Gallatin or Steinhardt more difficult to get into?

I wanted to major in Media, Culture, and Communication at Steinhardt, but now I'm thinking I might want to design my own major at Gallatin.

However, my test scores aren't the best and I was wondering which was harder to get into.

Well, I don’t know much about Steinhardt, but I just got accepted to Gallatin and I did a lot of research before I applied.

From what I understand, Gallatin weights the essay/why Gallatin part of your application more than your stats. So, if you write well and know what you want to do, it might be easier for you to get into.

I would definitly recommend applying to the program you really want to be at, though. There’s really no use trying to anticipate what NYU wants, as only the admissions people know. Hope this helps!

Well I’m starting to like the idea more and more of designing my OWN major. I want to incorporate French and Spanish, as well as Media and International Studies.
