<p>I plan on doing BME and was debating as to whether I should do a math minor on the side. However, a friend told me that a minor is won't help unless it is a specific focus of something your major covers (e.g. Biology with a minor in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics).</p>
<p>Is it true that a minor that doesn't relate or only tangentially relates to your major is a waste of time?</p>
