Is getting into NYU possible for me?

Hi! I’m from New York State and love NYU, so I really want an insight on my chances of getting in. I got 2 31’s and a 32 on my ACT’s ( E 33, M 31, R 32, S 27) (E 34, M 28, R 29, S 34) (E 36 M 29 R 34 S 30) (right now I have a 34 superscored) and intend to be an English major. However, my gpa isn’t that good. It’s currently an 86.32/3.45 (I didn’t really take school that seriously until now) but should be anywhere from an 88-90/3.6 after this year is over. I have several other accolades which will be on my transcript, however, such as being in 4 clubs for, most likely, all 4 years of high school (I’m the president and founder of one of them) and being a ski instructor. I’m also going to be doing a college level internship at a major local newspaper this summer. I’m actually going to be the first high school student to do an internship there.

With this information, can you please give me my chances of getting accepted?

As a current NYU student who had similar stats, yes it IS possible. However, asking about your chances on cc isn’t going to give you better chances of being accepted. I recommend you spend good amount of time writing your essays and try to impress admissions by signing up for challenging courses senior year, rather than slacking off or settling for easier classes. Also, note that each school has different levels of difficulty and I have heard that liberal studies generally accept students with lower GPA than the other colleges.
