Is getting into UC Davis from a community college hard?

Hi,

I have so much anxiety right now because I’m going to be attending my first year at a community college soon and I really want to go to UC Davis. I am majoring in Biology. I met with a counselor but I still have so many questions about transferring from a CC to a UC.

First, what does UC Davis look for in transfer applications? Do they look at extracurricular activities or just academics? I don’t think there are much extracurricular activities for me to do at a CC.

Second, is it easy to get a TAG agreement?

Lastly, is it easier to get into a UC from a CC or is it easier to get into a UC straight from high school?

Thank you to anyone who helps me out. I’m just so nervous because I had such big plans in high school to go to UC Davis but I got rejected. I applied to UC Irvine, UCLA, and UC Riverside as well and I only got accepted to UC Riverside but I didn’t go there because it is really far from where I live (I live in NorCal).

UC Davis Biology and Engineering majors have higher GPA and/or class requirements than other TAG majors. If you haven’t already found this website, take a look. It likely answers all of your questions (although you may have to hunt around a bit for specifics): https://www.ucdavis.edu/admissions/undergraduate/transfer/transfer-admission-guarantee/majors

Here is the UC TAG matrix for each UC campus. If you complete your Pre-req courses, GE courses and required major courses with minimum GPA stated for TAG, then you should be fine.
