Is girls who code summer program hard to get into?

Hi,
Recently, I am waiting for the result of girls who code, summer immersion program. I am afraid it is too competitive to get into, so I am wondering is it hard to get into the program? I am eager to attend this program. It sounds really interesting!

Hi Brittany, I also applied to the summer program. Have you received the result? It said they’re sending out the emails today but I haven’t received any.

I applied way past the deadline, but they said they got my application. I wish they let us talk about personal educational milestones we’ve gone through, or let us attach a resume. I was scared and wrote my short answer essay at like 2am in the dark, and I just read through it again and cringed.
I got rejected :confused:

Log in to the Girls Who Code site, and look at your application. There should be a column labeled “Details” and it should tell you whether you got accepted or not

Congrats to everyone who got in! I didn’t apply but I was thinking of doing it.

I logged in on girlswhocode.fluidreview.com and i don’t have a column labeled “Details”… weird haha it just has my application which says “complete” next to it and it has a new application named “2017 LifeLock: San Francisco Bay Area” which says “incomplete” next to it…

If there is no details tab, you got in! Congrats! Just click on it and it’ll tell you you got in!

I got waitlisted. Does anyone know how to get off of waitlist? I really want to get in

@collegeacceptpls i clicked on the application that said “2017 LifeLock: San Francisco Bay Area” and it doesn’t say anything! lol i think they’re having technical difficulties… but thank you!!

I feel like everyone they don’t accept always gets “waitlisted”. Has there ever been anyone who was flat out rejected?

I logged on but I can’t see anything… where does it tell you if you get accepted/waitlisted/rejected?

Anyone have updates on the GWC selections? I haven’t received an email yet and it doesn’t say anything new on the my applications site except “2017 General Electric: San Fransisco Bay Area Name of some Woman” and says it is complete

I have the same problem! ^ I don’t have an email and on the applications site it says “2017 Pixar: San Francisco Bay Area.” I don’t have a Details column either and on my Loop app it added the location to my loops. I don’t want to get my hopes up since I don’t have an official email, though. Any way to tell for sure?
