Is girls who code summer program hard to get into?

I sent an email to Girls Who Code asking about the application status and they responded

"Thanks for your patience as we review applications for the Summer Immersion Program! If this is in regards to your Summer Immersion Program application, we unfortunately weren’t able to send out notifications of your status on April 7 due to technical difficulties.

We’ll be in touch early next week with an update to your application status.

Thanks for your patience!"

Is it safe to say that if on fluidreview it said a location of a program (2017 Company Name: City) then we were accepted? Or do you think that that might be a glitch and we may have also been rejected

I’m pretty sure that if they state the location you got accepted. I got waitlisted, does that mean they rejected me?

It says I’m waitlisted. Had put a lot of work into the essay. Pretty bummed :frowning:

For the people who had the program location show up, did it say anywhere that you explicitly got accepted? (because mine doesn’t say anything anywhere, it just says the location and the company)

Where did you guys find that you got waitlisted?

@pamzaly, when I logged on, I saw “waitlisted” written under the Details tab next to my application.

My status for the location (city and company) on my fluidreview just changed from “complete” to “in progress”. Did that happen to anyone else?

Mine still says “wait-listed”

Happened to me!

the application changed for me… now when i press on the application with the program location and the company, it says i got accepted

I got the email, I got accepted!

Got accepted

Is the program good? Worth to attend?

I got accepted, but I tried filling out the new packet online to confirm my spot, but the application locked and It doesn’t allow me to edit! It locked at exactly 12am…

@jerrybrown same! i think they’re still having some technical difficulties

I got rejected, but I wanted to go so badlyyyyyy ugh

Anyone have an idea of how hard it is to get in from the waitlist?

Hey guys! I did the Girls Who Code summer immersion program in Austin, TX last year. If anyone has any questions about the program, feel free to ask through this discussion or through a PM!

Where did you guys get into?
