Personally, I'm agnostic. I used to be quite religious, actually, but I've since realized that it doesn't matter whether God exists or not, because He, She, or It apparently doesn't want to have anything to do with us.

What led you to this conclusion ?

The ignorance created by religion is that some of the most intelligent profess to believe in a god/diety and yet don't read the book for themselves
It would weed the wackjobs out of ministry really fast

OP: getting a username like i'mtoocoolforcc and then posting here identify's you as a major loser.

god has to be real or else how did we get here but the more religion classes i take the more i doubt this
if you follow existentialism i feel sorry for you

is there a reason for this distinction between the truth/falsehood of god's existence? god may both exist and not exist, both are equally valid, since we cannot even uncover the funamental characteristics of truth in the first place. of course, this is up to question also.

exactly, it's all opinion. there is no proof. there will never be any proof. let people believe what they want. this whole argument is about as useful as counting rocks

I believe God is really a metaphor, though perhaps one whose symbolism has evaded the whits of the religious since its birth. I believe God is really a metaphor for the Universe. The sentient and moral parts were just tossed in to provide for proper behavior, which might, as recent studies show, be inherent to the human brain.

So is God real? Yes, you're living in it, and you are indeed part God and God is part you.

I believe that every religion has it wrong.

I believe that 'living by the word alone' is not a way to live as 'the word' has been changed so many times and was written by story tellers to specific audiences that it could never be as accurate as many would have you believe.

I do enjoy reading religious stories (from all religions) due to their showing of humanity, or lack thereof.

if god was real, then why don't you have an 800 on all your SAT subject tests, number one in your class, AND president of a couple of clubs?

answer that!!

don't give me the typical, "god wants you to be happy with what you've got" or "there is a greater goal that we can't see right now," because i'm sorry to tell you this, but you are just **lying* to yourself. get over it and face reality. work hard and take action while you still can. don't wait for a nonexistant god to save you.
