is god real?

Nope, I don't believe in God.

if God were real, why would he have to go through all these Biblical tests of faith if he already knew what the outcome would be?

why didn't he create us all perfectly?

why doesn't he wipe us out right now and try again?

why have all Biblical miracles and revelations ceased to exist?

why does he preach "thou shalt not kill" when he gave powers to his followers to kill certain people and burned homosexual towns to the ground?

if we are all god's children, what makes jesus so special?

some questions to think about

Well, the Einsteinian God exists, and we have plenty of proof of it. It's a rather beautiful god that can be understood with science and logic, and yet we have barely scratched the surface of it. I am talking about all the laws of nature that make us tick (it doesn't make much sense to pray to gravity, does it?). Is this is a God? Not in the traditional sense. But I think our definition of a God is too narrow. People tend to equate God with an invisible man in the sky who created everything and actually care about each individuals needs. I am very skeptical about that sort of God.

I absolutely believe in the God of the Bible.

I don't believe in a God that my "amazing" religious Jewish school would want me to believe, but I do believe that there is some higher force out there, far beyond our understandings, that is responsible for all that has happened.

I don't think that force is aware, or has a conscience or anything that today's religions make us think, but I do think that because of that force the universe and everything in it exists.

lol, God doesn't exist. But, s/he is necessary for the world since most people need some sort of mental crutch to live on in their life without utterly collapsing into some mental ball. God and religion in general is just a meme passed down from generation to generation because in some ways it's beneficial to them, ignorance is bliss...

I don't believe in a single omniscient God, but I'm not an atheist or agnostic person, nor do I just not care.

if you follow existentialism i feel sorry for you

Sartre and Kierkegaard are okay. If you follow Nietzsche, ummm....I'm not an existentialist anyway.

definitely true.

also to add to that, people's puropses in life are defined by goals. not everyone succeeds, and some fail. how do people cope with the pain? By creating an endless goal that is greater than all else, something that you couldn't ever fail (at least not in your lifetime)? how about the goal to reach heaven? If you can't ever fail (b/c you wouldn't actually know when you are physically alive if you will reach it or not), you will always have some complacency/satisfaction that not all is lost...

such stupid waste.

It's sad to me that so many people would think that religion is a waste. Of course in this world there are probably far more who find it more fufilling. Can I prove that there is a God? Nope. Can you prove that there isn't? Again no you can not. I just have faith. There are many things in this world and universe that you can't see, but know are there. To me God is one of them.

No, next question.

Yes. Indefinitely until so-called researchers stop falsifying work that claims to have found Jesus tomb. What I don't get is why so many Christians have a problem with Jesus being married.

Yes. Guardian angel experience in my childhood.

O-M-GOSH, why the heck would you ask this question to strangers all over the country or world. We all have different beliefs, your begging for a fight.
To answer your question, Yes.

Yes. (ten chars)

I believe in the sun, I can see it and it provides me life, unlike "god".

Usually we call what you're describing "nature." Deity implies free will (or at least deterministic will), which nature does not have.

"if god was real, then why don't you have an 800 on all your SAT subject tests, number one in your class, AND president of a couple of clubs?

answer that!!"

One way or the other, that is the most absurd question I've ever heard regarding the matter and with such absurdity there is no way to give an even scientific answer to the question because it will be bantered back with more absurdity.

i watched the movie "saved" this weekend
it was interesting

I choose to believe that tunafish is really the answer to this question.

god exists - just have faith

take that for backing up wat i say
