Is going ti a branch campus even worth it?

At the beginning of November of last year, I thought that I would be accepted into University Park with no worries. I was dead wrong. Now, with a rejection from Maryland and decisions coming in from Illinois and Minnesota this week, I am looking deeply into my options. I also applied and will be accepted into Northampton Community College and its honors program. It is one of the top 50 CC's nationally. Even though I received $14,000 in merit aid to PSU Altoona, I could take the same courses for much cheaper at Northampton. Plus, if accepted into Minnesota, the OOS tuition would be less than the IS tuition of PSU-UP. Also, if I transfer and am accepted into Maryland or UGA, I will get free housing, which would also bring the tuition rates at these schools to the comparable range to PSU. Is going to Altoona for my first two years worth it?

Education is the same no matter which college you attend, its just the student body that’s different…The student body at Altoona is somewhat the same as the student body at your normal community college…So, personally I would attend a community college and transfer to main…But you will have to maintain a high GPA though…

On a second though, did you say you are willing to do the summer season at Penn State ?

Yes I would! That would be perfect

"Yes I would! That would be perfect "
Are you saying you will maintain a high GPA or you want to do the summer season ? Just give them a call and you should be able to get the summer season at the least depending on your stats…
