Is GPA different from high school to high school?

I am an incoming sophomore in high school and my grades for freshman year were(out of 100):
PE: 99
Spanish II: 96
PreAp Biology: 95
PreAp English I: 94
PreAp Geometry: 93
Theatre I: 98
Business info management: 98
PreAp world geography: 97

My GPA for my school is 3.9125 (weighted) and 3.625(unweighted). I was wondering would it be different for another school? Do colleges like Columbia use their own type of GPA system? And do colleges look at your weighted or unweighted GPA? Thank you in advance!

In our district, that would be an unweighted 4.0, and a weighted 4.375, assuming all of those were year-round courses. (All of those percentages would be an A, and an A is 4 points for regular classes, 5 for pre-AP, 6 for AP. No plus-minus adjustments.)

I think colleges do their own thing, because every district is different.
