Is grade curve in honors classes different?

I remember a post from last year saying the grade curve in honors classes is different from the normal curve, or maybe had something to do with rounding up grades in honors classes. Ring a bell with anybody? And if it is different, does it apply to both Hutton and Kelley?

Yes, they do not grade “on a curve” in the honors courses–since to do so would be unfair.

If you want to see what grades were given in a particular course, IU-B has the ability to do that for any course that has over 7 students in it.

Do this as follows:

go to [Indiana University Bloomington](http://www.iub.edu)
Choose “Schedule of Classes” from the drop down box with “Popular Campus Sites”
On the left hand side, under “Students”, Choose “Grades”
When the “Grades” choices come up on the right hand side, choose “Grade Distribution Database”
Then choose “Request by Instructor Name” (or one of the others if you prefer)
Then on the next page, put in the Instructor’s name and the semester and year the course was offered. It will bring up a list of all the courses taught by the professor that semester–and list all the grades in the class–and also tell you how many people dropped the course–and what the average GPA was–both including or excluding those who dropped. It will also tell you the average GPA of everybody who took the course–so you’ll know how “skilled” they were relative to the grades they got.

I am not aware of a curve, but I know that for some honors classes they assign more work, but in exchange make the tests easier (examples of this is k201 vs k204 and icore vs honors icore).
