Is grammatix really as good as the author makes it sound?

Is Grammatix really as amazing as the author makes it sound? Are there really all these secrets and tips that will help you SAT score as dramatically as it sounds? For those of you who have used Grammatix, how much did you improve on the SAT?

i think that the author is brilliant. The way he writes it really motivates you to read on and attempt that 2400. I mean, the book is simple and the author's style keeps you attentive. Not all the strategies in the book are great but some def are (for CR at least, thats why i got it), i love the Sentence Completion method. It works well. The passages method it offers is a bit controversial. It applies to some people. Definitely try it out though. The author, for the CR section, basically delineates how there is only 1 correct answer, and 3 wrong. It's amazing. Give it a shot although all the techniques may not work.

hannah i got grammatix and i really didnt like it. basically grammatix says for critical reading, do the questions before reading the passage and it doesnt work for me.

at least, if the questions first doesn't work for u, u can still approach the psg first, then follow the steps. as in cited questions first, then general questions.

exactly, as i said, you dont have to religiously practice every strategy. I suggest, give em all a try, and see which work.

Where can you guy Grammatix? I can't seem to find it on Amazon.com

try borders/barnes and nobles. if you can't find it there.....than ebay

Well they don't sell grammatix at borders or barnes and nobles or any other store, I think. I bought mine from Grammatix.com

i got my grammatix for free. cousin had it and she sent me hers.
