Is Haas the only school that doesn't allow AP credits to fulfill breadth requirement?

Or is that for all majors?

If so, most of the AP exams I took are useless.

You can’t AP out of breadth if you are in L&S.

Same here, I took 14 tests and only 4 are getting me out of classes. AP Lit, Calc BC, Comp Sci AB and Spanish. US history does help with the AH&I requirement though.

You also earn units toward the totals needed to graduate. Your effective class level is higher. Generally you have earlier telebeats times than your peers entering with less AP credit.

Your TeleBEARS appointment is dictated by your Non-AP Level on BearFacts.

Having AP/IB units pushes your appointment up relative to other people within the same Non-AP Level, which is a major plus.

Thanks.

I have another question, I heard that I’m still supposed to declare a major in the 2 years before I apply for Haas. I want to know if this impacts what courses I take.

^That is not quite true. If you are going for Haas, you don’t need to declare a major because if you get into Haas you will automatically be declared for a B.S. in Business Administration.

For most majors you do not need to declare until your junior year. You are allowed to declare during your sophomore year (or even your freshman year) for certain majors.

For some majors declaring early is pointless, for others it is a really good idea.
As you declare by the semester your reach/break 85 units (this does not count AP/IB units), you are fine (unless you are looking at a capped major)
