Hey i'm currently a senior at my highschool on the west coast. I would think that I would love to pursue a career in pharmacy and i've been looking at some 0-6 Programs. I saw that Hampton University has a 0-6 Pharmacy program ( I chose this one because the tuition was the lowest ). From the website it says that tuition is only ~18,000 and I think that would be a lot more affordable than USP or Rutgers ( not saying that I could easily get into Rutgers ). I'm just alittle worried that the 0-6 Pharmacy Program isn't good at Hampton? Or would I have a problem finding a job with my college being from Hampton? If anyone has any information about Pharmacy or think they would be able to answer this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also just my stats:

GPA Unweighted - 3.8 ( Weighted it would be 4.0+ )
SAT Score ~ 1800+ ( Took the October 1, 2011, have been scoring 1900-2100 on my practice tests )
Volunteer Hours : 100+
E.C : Two Clubs + J.V Tennis

With those stats do you guys also have any recommendations that I go to any other 0-6 Pharmacy Programs? I was originally looking at USP because I always would like to live in a large city, but being from Washington and going out state is going to cost a lot of money. So keeping tuition in mind I think Hampton University would be better, unless its cheaper because its a worse program. I also hope to get Finacial Aid + a scholarship ( if I can apply/receive some )

You might want to look at this thread for ideas. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/1219695-feeling-unprepared-ignorant-2.html#post13285324 According to Sk8rmom Hampton doesn’t have a 0-6 program. How much can your family afford? You need to look at the Hampton info again. That $18K does not include any room and board and the costs climb steeply as you get further into the program ($28K tuition for your last two years).

Well I guess was unprepared haha, I just googled the 0-6 Pharmacy schools and 13 schools came up. Well if that is it, then what would you guys recommend? I would prefer to live in a large city ( why I was thinking of Philidalphia ), But by far, money is the largest issue. I’m not too sure how much my family can afford, we have very little in savings, living pay check to pay check, and my mother recently passed away ( October 1 ) so we also have bills to pay. That’s why I was hoping Financial Aid to cover a bulk of it + maybe a scholorship if I can get one? Then I would think that I might get a job to help pay? Once again money is the key issue. Do you guys know which out of the only 0-6 Pharmacy schools would have the cheapest tuition/ most merit money?
