I can not stand my math teacher for math 3b one bit, and have been accepted to UCSB. I have IGETC and besides this class, all my prerequisites complete. I emailed the school, hoping they would let me take the class during summer quarter since I plan to take classes there with their transfer transition program. Do you think this will greatly influence my admission if I drop the class to take it at UCSB over summer quarter? I have been stressing out over it. I'm a Business-Econ major btw. Thank you guys!

really? so many views and nobody can shed some light?

why don't u just call UCSB so you can get a definite answer?

It really depends on if the major is impacted at what ever school you want to go to. They really like people who have their pre-reqs done if the major is popular.

If your math 3b class is not a prereq then don't worry about it, you may drop it. Yet it may affect your admissions IF you don't have the correct amount of units or just tend to slack off. Math is really essential to Business Economics, my recommendation is just to deal with it, if you can get an A or a B.

Thanks for the responses. I emailed but the office was closed today so I have to call again tomorrow morning. I can't pull off an a or b in the class. I got an a in my stats honors and math 3a though. I'm really hoping they let me just take the class this summer. Uc system in general wants the prereq done before fall so I would still have everything completed by then...I guess ill have to wait and find out.
