Is he finished for Harvard? Please take a look.

My brothers grades are listed below and hes worried that, academically he doesn't have the marks to get into Harvard. Im not sure what to tell him, what do you guys think

Grade 9
math 80 (took it in grade 8)
science 92
english 94
geo 93
french 93
**Grade 9-- 90.4 weighted
Grade 9--92.3 unweighted
*

Grade 10
math 90
science 91
comp.science 95
english 94
history 99
french 89
--Grade 10 93.0 weighted
career studies 98
business 95
religion 93
Grade 10-- 93.8 unweightedU]

*-Grade 11 *
math 95
bio 96
AP chemistry 95
english 94
AP American history 99
spanish 93 (*decided to take spanish for US--> can speak french reasonably fluently already so he dropped the course for spanish)

History 20th 98
Economics 98
--Grade 11 96.1 weighted
religion 96
Grade 11-- 96.1 unweightedU]

*Same grade trends will continue in grade 12 and is taking AP Econ, Stats, Bio, English, Human Geo, and US Government in grade 12.

*He's already taken 4 APs up until now and has gotten 5 on all (World History, Chemistry, American His., European History)

He's taken the SAT already and got a 2400, but hasn't taken SAT II yet.

So, academically, is he okay? Grades weren't exactly genius in grade 9 and 10..

Just as a side note, I know that ECs are important, but hes just worried about his marks.

grade wise, they are fine. if my grades were out of 100s instead of letter grades, mine would be about the same (although in reverse since my grades gradually dropped, haha). no admissions committee goes through the grades one by one anyway. rank is usually more important.

in that case he was ranked 2nd in gr. 9 1st in gr 10 and 1st in gr 11

i think brett will be okay man

(lol yea i know this kid we go to the same highschool
)

thanks wingless and yea hes right hes been first for two years now…

does anyone else from the class of 2013 have any opinions?

bump? anyone?

I think you already have your answer. In the context of the other students in his school, it is clear that his grades will not exclude him from consideration.

the 2400 doesnt hurt either
