So I went to my schools college fair last night and HPU gave a presentation. To me they seemed like a great school with great stats and a beautiful campus and they have just what I want to study. However I heard there is a big drug problem on campus and that there is no proper education, but other people are saying that it’s an amazing school and its up and coming. I need some clarification here, can someone tell me the truth about the school now?

I used to work at a public university. One of our best professors, who was a department chair, won awards voted by students for best teaching, did amazing award winning research, etc. was recruited by High Point five years ago. It was a great loss for us, but to me it indicates High Point is trying to build its academics.
It’s not. It’s like a country club, very pretty, very comfortable and luxurious. But students don’t attend for the quality of academics. They’re trying to change that but there’s a long way to go. Considering the high price tag, it’d really depend on your priorities.
