I was planning on taking AP Calc AB after my senior year, but after reading a lot of the posts is it wise or easily capable of getting a 5 if you self-study AP Calc AB with textbooks, etc. while taking pre-calc and then while doing AP Calc AB (the class) self studying for AP Calc BC? I haven't taken trig. yet so I suppose that I should start reviewing that..

I would take AP Calc BC and self study AP Calc AB..since AP Calc AB is quite easy and you could probably cover it quickly by yourself..

Not sure. It depends on how well you're able to cope..I would suggest you actually take the class for BC since it's harder.

I self studied precalc, trig, and AP calc bc in high school and I got a 5.

Basically it's entirely possible, if you're good at math. More important than being good at math though is being self motivated. You have to commit yourself and work lots and lots of study problems every day for months with no homeworks, tests, or teacher to push you. But that's the way it is in college anyway so you might as well get used to it now.

well at my school they only offer AP Calc AB, so I think I will take that class my senior year and just self study and take the BC exam. Because I think it would be pretty pointless to take the AP Calc AB exam and then the class
