<p>You can apply for housing on the last day; it's not a first-come first-serve system.</p>

<p>That said, it would probably make the most sense to apply for housing once you've decided to go to Cal.</p>

<p>Another related question. Do most frosh get triples? Most at UCLA do. Is that how it is at Berkeley as well?</p>

<p>I'm not sure what proportion get triples, but when I visited, doubling up seemed to be the norm.</p>

<p>Plenty of Berkeley frosh get doubles. Whether or not it's most, I'm not sure, as for every two triple rooms there must be three double rooms for them to be equal. Many frosh get doubles. Almost everyone I know, for instance, does.</p>

<p>Triples aren't so bad. It's not like you're going to spend a lot of your time in the room anyway, you want to be out and about. :)</p>
