Is Howard University worth it?

I am completing my generals at a community college at the moment. Howard University has always been my dream school. I didn't apply to HU right after High school, because I knew I wouldn't be able to afford it. Tuition alone at Howard is $22,283. After two years there, I am sure I would owe over $50,000+. I plan on majoring in Accounting. If I don't go to HU, I feel like I would regret not making the decision to go. I hate my community college. I am only going because I keep telling myself I am working towards something I really want to do. HU doesn't really give out scholarships to transfer students either.

I won't be in any debt after my two at my community college. I go to the cheapest CC in my state, so I am able to pay my tuition out the pocket. Is any college worth that much debt?

If Howard doesn’t give out scholarships to transfer students, then maybe UNCF will. And the best part is, these scholarships are for Historic Black schools like Howard.

And your question: Is Howard University worth it?
Yes!

Thanks. I will check that website out.

You’re welcome and good luck.

Apply for scholarships, HUSEP, grants, everything. There’s alot of money set aside for people to go to school that no one even applies for. Look for it.
