Is IB worth it?

I know that IB prepares you for the heavy workload at college, but is it worth in the eyes of the people on the admissions board of Ivy League schools?

Definitely. It is more rigorous than AP, even with the extended essays, TOK presentations etc.

The pressure is definitely more too, knowing that failing your CAS (doing 150 hours of sports, community service and creative activities) or your extended essay will mean you fail the whole of IB.

And colleges know this.

I have one question which international system is considered more “rigorous” than the other in the eyes of Ivy Adcoms A-levels or IB or any other?
And How much IB 45 equates to in British A-levels system.

IB is much harder than A Levels. On average an A level student takes 3 or 4 subjects. Getting a 45 in IB is equivalent of getting 7 or 8 As in A Level (yes, As not As).

I agree. IB is so much more difficult than AP and A levels. I really hope that colleges understand this. It is worth it, in my opinion. Go for it  and good luck :)

*Currently working on my extended essay :P
