Do colleges want low income students?

It depends on the school. Most schools are committed to educating all – but most have few resources to do so without limits.

It depends… Some colleges don’t care about income, some admit low income applicants because they otherwise have a good and solid application. But lots of schools also like high income applicants, especially for international students etc which have to pay out of state tuition. Thats how the colleges really make money. But income should not be the deciding factor for your application.

$$$ Washington Univer$ity in $t. Loui$ cares about money. $$$

$_$

For the colleges that describe their admissions process as “need sensitive” or “need aware”…not so much, unless the student is attractive for some specific reason: very high stats, URM, etc

But that’s admission. Financial aid is a separate issue.
