Alright so for the common app, the prompt that I like the most is the one about describing a place where you're most content (or something along those lines). I have a sport that I am extremely dedicated to and passionate about and I feel like that prompt gives the best opportunity to talk about it. Instead of picking one specific physical place, I'd like to discuss the world/industry/lifestyle of my sport as my "place" (still figuring out how to word that concept exactly haha). Is that okay? I feel like it would give me a broader flexibility within my topic. I would likely reference multiple actual very specific places in my essay but not in lengthy description. I hope that makes sense, I'm trying to be a little vague here. Is trying to create more breadth too much like skirting the prompt? On the other hand, even if this interpretation is okay, is using a specific place a much better idea? As you can maybe tell, I'm feeling very uncertain and I'm looking for a little reassurance. My main fear with this essay is that it'll end up very cliche. Thanks!
