My interview was supposed to be today, in 2 hours. But i just e-mailed my interviewer to ask if we could reschedule till later this week because i might have trouble getting to the place. Is that ok, or does that look really bad? I don’t want to start off with a bad impression :

Depends on your reasons; I have cancelled an interview myself, because I was ill, and the interviewer did not mind. However, if you only just emailed your interviewer, he might not notice in time; this will, I believe, not leave a very positive impression with him. Maybe you could call him and explain in person?

Is it weather related (e.g. snow in the NE) - like the conditions are dangerous? Then I don’t think it will look bad, otherwise, yeah, it’s probably going to look bad.

For others reading this, I think with a decent amount of notice (i.e. on the order of days or more) it would be perfectly fine to request to reschedule.

Thats fine if it is the snow. Where I am in CT we were hit bad and road conditions are to dangerous to drive. Brown canceled there Alumni event and I, a prospective student who was supposed to attend that event. They care about safety!

Sorry if this is like I am ranting, I suck at posting comments online.

Yeah, it was the snow. The roads were very icy and it still is. But my interviewer checked his email in time and said it was fine so we rescheduled :)
